Arrive in Tbilisi airport, where you are provided "fast track" assistance through Customs and Passport Control and introduced to your tour leader. Transfer to the hotel.

Day 2: Tbilisi city tour

A full day of sightseeing tour in Tbilisi. Includes visits to the Tbilisi open air ethnographical museum, walks through old town, visit to Museum of fine arts, and at the end of the day, before greeting dinner SPA procedures at famous Sulphur bathes.

Departure to Western Georgia for an overnight stop and an excursion in one of the biggest cities – Kutaisi. Kutaisi has been a city since at least 6th century B.C. and a settlement existed here long before that. Visit famous Bagrati (11th C.) and Gelati (12th C.) Cathedrals, which are listed as World Cultural Heritage Sites by UNESCO.

Continue journey deeper into the western Georgia to visit Black sea resorts and town Batumi. Free evening in Batumi to enjoy the black sea, sunset and Batumi.

Day 5: Excursion in Batumi

In the morning excursion to Batumi Botanical Garden and Gonio fortress.

Batumi Botanical Garden, situated on the north of Batumi, along the Black Sea coast, is unique among the gardens of the world. At present, Batumi Botanical Garden occupies 114 ha. From Batumi Botanical Garden, drive down towards the Turkish border, where the ancient town of Gonio is situated. Built in the II century BC the town played a vital role as a crossroads between the west and the Caucasus. Archeological excavations still take place in Gonio – and have already unearthed a wealth of gold and other artifacts.

From Batumi depart to the backward direction to reach the famous resort Borjomi. Thanks to its temperate climate, forested mountain scenery and famous mineral waters, this is the most popular balneological resort of Georgia. Borjomi is located in the southeastern part of Georgia, in the Mtkvari river gorge, at between 810-850 meters above sea level.

In Borjomi take a short walk in Borjomi National Park and taste famous Borjomi mineral water.

vanilla cultureDay 7: Excursion in Vardzia cave town. Gudauri

After the Breakfast in Borjomi head towards Vardzia Cave-monastery. Vardzia in the Meskheti province of southern Georgia - is a thirteen story cave town built between 1186-9 by Georgia’s famous Queen Tamara. This Medieval cave city is not only one of the highlights of any trip to Georgia, but also cultural symbol as a unique example of the Georgian renaissance. After the excursion drive to the north to have an overnight stay in famous Georgian ski resort Gudauri.

vanilla cultureDay 8: Kazbegi, Georgian Military Highway & Mtskheta

Drive to the picturesque settlement, town Kazbegi, which is situated in a kind of amphitheatre of mountains, dominated by superb Mount Kazbek (5047m) - one of the six 5000 meter peaks of the Caucasus. The Sameba Church in Gergeti is beautifully situated on the hill above the town and provides splendid views of Mt. Kazbek. The region, with its many valleys and peaks is one of the most popular walking destinations in Georgia.

Later during the day drive to Tbilisi along Georgian military highway with the stops on the way at the remarkable Ananuri fortress and ancient Capital of Georgia Mtskheta. Evening in Tbilisi. B,L,D.

vanilla cultureDay 9: Eastern Georgia, Kakheti

In the morning depart to Eastern Georgia to have a first stop at David Gareji Monastery. This remarkable complex of cave monasteries, covering a large area of almost desert-like wilderness, is one of the highlights of a visit to Georgia. Founded in the 6th century by the Christian Father St. David, the monasteries of Lavra, Udabno, Dodo and Bertubani are remarkable for their original cave frescos that date from the 8th to 13th centuries. From David Gareji monastery continue journey to town Sighnaghi. Sighnaghi is one of the most beautiful towns of Georgia. Its attractiveness is largely defined both by the age-old architectural sites and its natural characteristics: the Town is located on a hilltop and looks over the boundless area of the Alazani Valley and the snow-covered Caucasian mountains. At the end of the day, return to Tbilisi.
