Mention Nepal, and most people will conjure up images of the Himalaya. Indeed eight of the world’s 10 tallest peaks are located here. The country is however, distinguished not only for its high mountains, but also for its unique culture heritage, artistic monuments and exotic wildlife, which area reflected in the country’s languages, architecture and biodiversity.
Wedged between Tibet of the People’s Republic of China in the north and India on the other three sides, Nepal is the confluence of two great religions Hinduism and Buddhism. It is the land where Lord Buddha was born more than 2,500 years ago. The capital city, Kathmandu itself comprises seven World cultural heritage sites within a radius of 20 kilometers. Pokhara, the city of lakes aptly situated on the lap of Annapurnas is the main tourist center next to Kathamndu. Chitwan National Park, the home of elusive One Horn Rhino and Royal Bengal Tiber in Tarai region. These are all the fame of this tiny country and of course the main attractions of your week long trip.
