Day 1

Arrive to Georgia

Arrive to Batumi International Airport. Assistance through customs and passport control. Refueling of the plane will be arranged on the territory of Batumi International Airport. Check-in at the Hotel in Batumi.

• Lunch at a local restaurant in Batumi, with traditional Ajarian meal “Khachapuri”.

• Sightseeing tour of Batumi, excursion to Batumi Botanical Garden, situated on the north of Batumi, along the Black Sea coast, is unique among the gardens of the world. At present, Batumi Botanical Garden occupies 114 ha.

• Free evening (walk through the boulevard, enjoy sunset, etc.)

• Welcome dinner at the local restaurant in the city center, at the dancing fountains.

Day 2

Fly to Tbilisi & Short City Tour

• Early breakfast at the hotel and afterwards, at 08:00 fly from Batumi towards Capital of Georgia –Tbilisi. Landing on Tbilisi International Airport. Refueling. Transfer to the Hotel.

12:00 Mtskheta City tour

Depart for Mtskheta –ancient capital of Georgia dated back to the 2^nd millennium BC.  Where Georgians adopted Christianity in the beginning of the 4^th Century.  Mtskheta still remains the headquarters of the Georgian Orthodox Church. Visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11thcentury) –known as the burial site of Christ’s mantel, has long been the principal Georgian Church and remains one of the most venerated places of worship to this day. Visit Jvari Monastery (5thc.) located on the top of a hill and overlooking the town.  Mtskheta is listed as a World Cultural Heritage site by UNESCO.

• Lunch in Natakhtari at a local restaurant with traditional Georgian dishes.

• Tbilisi City tour. Walk on legendary Rustaveli Avenue, go down to the old city and visit famous Sioni Cathedral (6thcentury),  Anchiskhati Church (6thcentury), take a walk to Metechi Palace and Abanotubani – historical part of the city prominent with numerous Sulphur baths.

• Free time

• Visit to JSC Sarajishvili Wine Brandy & Alcohol Factory.

In 1884 David Sarajishvili setup his first Wine brandy production in Georgia using the classic technology, which was the first throughout the Russian Empire. TheTbilisi factory produced the first brandy in 1887. 19^th century Wine Brandy degustation with an opportunity to buy a bottle from the old collection at the factory.

Day 3

Telavi, Tsinandali & Leisure at the lake

Excursion to the homeland of Wine

• Breakfast at hotel.

• Fly from Natakhtari Airfield toward Eastern Georgia –Kakheti province. Departure of the aircraft will be done at 10:00 am. Flight will be VFR. Fly above the picturesque Alazani Valley –Gremi Church, Alavedri Cathedral, Kvareli, Sighnaghi and observe the beauty of the region.

Afterwards we continue our journey to Tsinandali.

• Upon arrival in Tsinandali, open air lunch and excursion.

• Ikalto Academy. The Ikalto monastery was founded by Saint Zenon, one of the 13 Syrian fathers, in the late 6^th century. The monastery was famous as cultural center of Kakheti. An academy was founded at the monastery 12C. According to a legend the famous 12^th century Georgian poet Shota Rustaveli studied there.

Day 4

Fly to Tbilisi & Gori, Uplistsikhe

• Drive to the Telavi airdrome. Fly to Tbilisi.

• Check-in at hotel in Tbilisi.

• Lunch & Excursion to the Cave city and the museum of Josef Stalin

We depart for Kartli province toward the Lesser Caucasus-town of Gori, which is Home town of Josef Stalin. Excursion to the Stalin Museum located in the city center. From Gori continue journey to Uplistsikhe Cave Town hewn into the living rock, 8kms south-east of Gori. The citadel dates back to the 7^th century BC. It served as a strategic point on the ancient Silk Road from ancient times until the 15^th century AD. It contains a large central half or pagan rituals, living rooms and a 9^th century church. Uplistsikhe is identified by archaeologists  as one of the oldest

Urban settlements in Georgia. Strategically located in the heartland of ancient kingdom of Kartli

(or Iberia as it was known to the Classical authors), it emerged as a major political and religious centre of the country.

• Visit Natakhtari airdrome

• Free evening in Tbilisi (Opportunities: visit sulphur baths, enjoy nightlife).

Day 5

Fly to Svaneti

• Breakfast at hotel in Tbilisi.

• Fly to Svaneti

After arrival in Mestia transfer to the hotel.

• Upon arrival in Mestia, regional center of upper Svaneti, we will start our excursion with the museum (established in 1936) houses more than 4.000 items: archaeological objects discovered in Svaneti region, unique samples of engraved and painted icons (of special interest are X-XII c.c. icons), religious objects (IX-XIV c.c.), manuscripts (XI-XIII c.c. New Testaments from Adishi, Labskaldi, Ienashi, Mestia), weapons and armor, iron and cooper items, wooden ethnographic objects, adornments, silverware, textiles, etc.The last point of our excursion in Mestia will be the ethnographical tower museum of Margians.

• Chalaadi Glacier. Chalaadi is the only glacier in Georgia with its tongue extending below 2000m into the tree-line. After return to the hotel dinner and free evening.

Day 6

Svaneti – Ushguli Fly to Batumi

• Early in the morning we depart towards village Ushguli, The village Ushguli is believed to be the highest permanently inhabited place in Europe. It lies below Mt. Shkhara (5068m), the highest peak in Georgia and the third highest in the Caucasus. Its more than 20 ancient stone towers and the ongoing resilience of its population have led it to be listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In Ushguli we will have a walk in the village, visit Lamaria Church. Ushguli Museum. We will finish our excursion in Ushguli with Tamari tower. Queen Tamara was one of the most successful queens in Georgia and the time of her kingdom (12thcentury) is known as golden period of Georgia.

• Drive from Ushguli to Mestia airdrome.

• Fly from Mestia to Batumi.Arrival to Batumi airdrome; Refueling. Transfer to the Hotel.

• Farewell Dinner in Batumi at the local restaurant.
